What is the ETIAS Spain for Georgia?
The European Travel Information and Authorisation System will initially be available to nationals of more than 50 non-EU countries, including nationals of Georgia, but the list may be expanded later.

ETIAS Spain’s validity for Georgia
The ETIAS will allow them multiple entries into the Schengen Area and they will be permitted to spend up to 90 days within 180 days in Spain and the rest of the member countries.
The visa waiver will have a validity of 3 years from the date of approval or until the applicant’s passport expires, whichever takes place first.
Several travel purposes are permitted with the ETIAS, including tourism, business, transit, or short-term study. However, Georgians may also need a visa for long-term stays or reasons such as employment.
ETIAS Application for Georgian citizens
The first step of the ETIAS Spain application for Georgian citizens is filling out the online application form.
In this form, visitors travelling from Georgia to Spain must provide their personal and passport details, namely:
- Full name
- Nationality
- Date of birth
- Passport number
- Passport date of issuance and expiry
- Home address
- Phone number
- Email address
Next, Georgian travellers need to answer a set of security-related questions regarding their employment, criminal record, and previous travel in Europe. They also must indicate the first country they will travel to within the Schengen Area, in this case, Spain.
How to apply for the ETIAS Spain as a Georgian visitor?
To submit their online applications, travellers from Georgia will also need to complete the payment of the ETIAS Spain processing fee.
All the information provided in the application form must be correct to avoid delays in processing the ETIAS for Spain. To avoid such inconveniences, Georgians are encouraged to double-check the details provided before sending their applications for review.
ETIAS applications go through automatic processing and are checked against a series of security databases that scan the information for potential security threats.
Most ETIAS Spain applications are approved after the automatic check. In some cases, manual processing is required, which means a longer processing time.
An ETIAS may be denied if the Georgian applicant poses a security threat. Furthermore, in rare instances, an ETIAS may be revoked even after the initial approval. Georgian travellers will be informed of such occurrences and will have the right to appeal.

The ETIAS Spain will have a short processing time of 24 to 48 hours.
To apply online, Georgian travellers will need to make sure they meet the ETIAS requirements, fill out the application form, and pay the processing fee.
There is no need for applicants from Georgia to visit a Spanish embassy or consulate to obtain ETIAS, and the entire application process will only take around 10 minutes.

ETIAS Spain for Georgians: Passport and Documents Needed
Georgian travellers must be aware of the passport requirements before applying for the ETIAS Spain.
Travellers’ passports must be valid for at least 3 months from the day they plan to leave Spain (and/or the Schengen Area). Failing to meet this requirement may lead to being denied entry into the country.
It is also important that Georgians provide a valid email address in the application form. Applicants will receive the confirmation of their approved ETIAS Spain and any other relevant communication via email.
Finally, applicants from Georgia must possess a valid debit or credit card, necessary to pay the ETIAS Spain processing fee.
Note: The passport details on the ETIAS to visit Spain must match the ones on the passport used to travel. Dual passport holders are obliged to pay particular attention to using the same document when applying for the ETIAS and when entering Spain.
