Traveling to Spain from Paraguay with an ETIAS
The Spanish ETIAS for Paraguayans is valid for three years and allows travelers to spend up to 90 days in any Schengen country (which includes Spain) in a 180-day period. Paraguayans visiting Spain are allowed to use their ETIAS for the purpose of tourism, business, and medical procedures. However, it is not possible to use the ETIAS as a work permit, and travelers must apply for the appropriate visa if they wish to do so.
Travelers who wish to apply for an ETIAS to visit Spain will need to gather the necessary documents, fill out an application form, and wait for an email confirming the approval. The process is quick and simple, and should take no more than 10 minutes. Here is what all travelers need to know about the ETIAS before they apply.
ETIAS Application for Paraguay Citizens
Paraguayan citizens will be pleased to know that they can obtain an ETIAS authorization program in less than 30 minutes — and from the comfort of their own home! Applicants do not have to visit a local embassy, have an interview with an officer, or fill out a pile of paperwork. Everything is quick, simple, and done on the internet.
The first step is to apply for an ETIAS to visit Spain from Paraguay. This can be done by starting an ETIAS application. The form will ask applicants a few questions about their personal information and some security questions.
Applicants will be asked a number of questions regarding their personal details (first name, last name, nationality), passport information (passport serial number, date of issue/expiry), and contact information.
The next section will contain a few questions regarding the applicant’s previous trips to Europe and about their criminal history. The answers to these questions will then be checked against multiple European databases, such as Interpol, in order to pre-screen the applicant and see if they are a security risk.
After applicants have completed the application, they will be prompted to pay the application fee with a valid debit or credit card.
Most applications will be processed immediately, and a confirmation email containing the ETIAS will be sent to the applicant. However, in some cases it may take up to three business days in case of delay or public holidays.
Applicants are advised to print a copy of their ETIAS authorization email so that they can show it to the immigration officers when entering Spain.
Passport and Documents Needed
The ETIAS Spain requirements for Paraguayans are very simple and only requires one important document in order to fill out the application: a Paraguay-issued passport.
Please note that the applicant’s Paraguayan passport must be valid for at least three months after the date that they plan to arrive in Spain.
The other requirements include a device such as a smartphone, tablet, or computer, that can connect to the internet, as applicants will need to use it in order to submit the application. Please note that applicants should have a valid and working email address that they will use in order to receive notifications about the status of their ETIAS authorization.
Applicants will also need to have a valid form of payment, such as a credit card or debit card, in order to pay the ETIAS processing fee.
