At the end of 2022, non-EU citizens traveling to Spain and other EU countries will need to obtain the ETIAS travel authorization. Consequently, all Argentines traveling to Spain in 2022 or later will be required to apply for the ETIAS Spain prior to their visit.
ETIAS stands for European Travel Information and Authorization System. The main objective of introducing the ETIAS visa waiver is to improve security and border control surveillance within Europe. The ETIAS travel authorization will help identify possible threats and risks associated with non-EU visitors traveling to Schengen Area countries.
